COLLECTORS STORY
When did you start collecting?
I have a handful of things I’ve kept from 2009 when I first started riding. I started to purchase parts for the sole purpose of collecting in 2016 when I worked at Scooter Hut Melbourne and got given a pretty generous staff discount. Around 2020 is when I started to really look around for rare / older parts from my younger years.
What inspires you?
Whether I’ve been riding or working within the scooter industry, scooters have been a part of everything I do for well over half my life. I love scooters, the culture and especially what I consider to be the prime era of scootering. Collecting parts has become another way for me to stay connected to the sport as I get older and show my appreciation to the professional riders and the brands as well as showcase the history of where it all began.
What makes your collection unique?
I have a wide range of parts and scooters from multiple brands including things that some people may not have thought about keeping. I’ve held onto everything from the original Allen key that came with the first Envy completes in 2011 to MGP deck emblems, a variety of headset caps, random accessories and stickers.
How long has it taken to build?
10 years so far
What was your hardest piece to obtain and what did it take?
I don’t go to any great lengths to obtain the parts I collect, I’ve spent a lot of time picking up Razor Pros across Melbourne and the furthest I’ve driven was 2.5 hours to pick up a District DK-1 V2 deck

FAVOURITE PIECE
It’s hard to pick just one so I would say my brand new Razor Pro and my brand new Fasen Brendon Smith galaxy deck.
